外交部昨宣布，11月起開放菲律賓國民來台14天免簽證，期限至107年7月31日止，不過外界質疑，我方主動給予菲律賓試辦免簽，但菲律賓遲遲未給予相對待遇，僅准我落地簽。對此，外交部長李大維今(18)日在立法院外交委員會受訪時表示，按照政府的推估，認為明年對菲律賓暫行開放免簽，可以增加70億元的觀光收入。

此外，蔡政府上任後力推新南向政策，但包括印尼、馬來西亞等國家對台投資卻不增反減。據統計，馬來西亞去年投資額比前年大減7764萬美元 (約23億元台幣)，印尼對台投資額也少約143萬美元(約4384萬元台幣)。
對此，李大維說，這個事實上差異並沒有那麼大，所以也不必去擴大解釋，任何東西都有它的起伏。
